Hello.

First of all, thank you to everyone who has contributed to this forum. This is absolutely a great resource for someone like myself who had no idea about diamonds.

I am looking for a 1 carat round for my girlfriend of 6 years :) . I have come upon the following two ACAs. Please let me know if there are any concerns with the numbers below or the pictures in the link (sorry it doesn't seem like WF lets me copy pictures), and which one you would prefer? I guess what I'm really worried about are the crystal and/or cloud inclusions near the center of the stone, although I have confirmed that they are both eye clean. WF also noted that if put side to side, she would have difficulty picking which stone is which without the use of a loupe. I know I'm just being nit-picky at this point since both should be superb stones from what I've learned here but I want to get the best for my girl since she has put up with so much

Pavilion angle 40.9

I have also been browsing around the BG Signature stones, which go for several hundreds above the WF prices based on similar 4Cs. I know this has been discussed over and over again, but do BG stones really command the premium? The numbers are fairly similar, with very small differences ( ~0.01 percent or ~0.1 angle at times) in some of the measurements. Would the performance of the diamonds vary that greatly?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

go with the VS2 and save yourself the $1500

I second Julie's suggestion. Save $1500 and get a nice setting!

Thanks for the opinions! The $1,500 would be a nice savings to put towards the setting since I will be going custom (possibly VC if he still decides to accept my project).

Is the slight whiteness in the idealscope nothing I should worry about?

It's an ACA - you have nothing to worry about.

Agreed to go with the VS2 and save some money. It will be a beautiful diamond.

Go with the VS2 like everyone else said.

I just got a 1 ct VS2 http://goodoldgold.com/diamond/10448/

The very first thing I did upon receiving diamond was to look for the flaw with 10x magnifier and I could NOT see any flaws after an hour of inspection. (might be my un-trained eyes)

But either way, you will never be able to see the flaws on either one of them.

GL with your purchase!

Wow wasn't expecting a unanimous opinion! Thanks for the input everyone!
