Hi all,

Hoping to get your help to decide between 2 similar stones:

Stone #1:
Carat: 1.516
Depth %: 61.6
Table %: 55.2
Measurements: 7.36 - 7.41 x 4.55
Girdle: Thin to Medium Faceted
Crown Angle: 34.6
Pavilion Angle: 40.7

Stone #2:
Carat: 1.552
Depth %: 60.7
Table %: 56.1
Measurements: 7.50 - 7.53 x 4.56
Girdle: Thin to Medium Faceted
Crown Angle: 34.7
Pavilion Angle: 40.9

Both stones are E/VS2/AGS000. The price of stone #2 is approximately 5% higher (~$800-$900)
Is the difference in diameter of 0.14mm noticeable (7.36mm stone 1 vs. 7.50 stone 2) once it''s set?
Also, if you refer to the certificates (which are attached), how do the inclusions between the 2 stones compare? I don''t know how to read the diagrams but on stone #2 it just looks a lot more blemished.

Please tell me your preference! Thanks very much!

I''d go for the cheaper one, unless money is no object. Ask if there are any visible inclusions.

Either would be stunning, so you could afford to pick the cheaper one.

Thanks!

Can anyone tell me whether the naked eye can tell the size difference between a 7.36mm diameter and a 7.5mm diameter? i.e., would the 7.5 look bigger once it''s set in a 6 prong solitaire setting?

the average rounds to 7.39, vs 7.52.

4% difference in surface area. that''s in the you may, you may not notice the difference in direct comparison.

actually, I thikn one of your stones is a New Line and one is Traditional? Doesn''t hurt to link...saves us having to go look it up. The New Line brillianteering may have more of an effect than the physical dimentions.

Here are the links! Thanks for the tip....

What''s New Line vs. Traditional? Which one is which?

the 1.55 is the New Line. if you are concerned about size, and think the 900 is worth it, this may look somewhat bigger, due to physical dimensions and higher edge-to-edge light return
