Hey Guys,

Attached is the diamond, 1.3 Carat, color H, clarity SI2. I wanted to ask you, I just received this photo from the jewelry store, do you think this diamond has too many inclusions? It has twinning wisps as you can see. Theoretically they told me that it is eye clean from 8 inches looking at it. Please let me know as soon as possible what do you think about this diamond. Ofc the quality of the diamond photo is bad but hope you can help me.

Thanks!

Is this Gia graded?

It has too many inclusions for me

Yes it is GIA certified. Do you think it is better buying I color with good clarity like VS 1?

Thank you!

I'm seeing a lot right under the table.

Why not see what you can find for an SI1 or VS2?

Is the person who will have the diamond color sensitive?

Hi,

thanks for your response.

I am considering I color with VS 1 clarity. Is this a better decision? There should not be a much of the difference between I and H right? but clarity can make it look better?

I would appreciate your advise.

What's you're budget for the stone?

i am shopping on blue nile website and budget is around 6.5-7k.

And it has to be BN?

When shopping sight unseen you are better off buying higher clarity. Dropping a color to get above the Si2 category is a good strategy. There may be more going on in that stone than just the eye-clean aspect. It also appears to be a little sleepy, but that could be photography or even that the stone was not cleaned well for the photograph. But if you get into the VS category you eliminate a lot of potential clarity issues and you can focus on cut quality and light performance which are the keys to diamond beauty.

Thank you guys for your responses. I do appreciate that.

Yes I am trying to get biggest stone, still keeping good clarity.

No, the stone is excellent everything here is the GIA report number: 3195912032

please let me know what do you think about this stone after looking at the GIA report.

much appreciated.

Can you share what setting you've chosen? It might change my opinion on what color works best

Hi,

thanks guys for being helpful

I chose Solitaire setting with 4 prong, white gold

Please let me know what do you think about the ring based on the GIA report. I know it is hard to say but I attached a photo before.

Thank you guys once again!

Maybe I missed it -- OP's reply says both "Yes" and "No", so I couldn't parse it!

We didn't particularly like your choice, which is what drk is trying to say above. Can you link which setting? Some of their solis are really nice and others not so much

Thanks guys.

This is the setting: http://www.bluenile.com/build-your-own-ring/14k-white-gold-engagement-ring_20315?action=14kWhiteGoldSelect&track=alternate-metalsCustomizer

I wanted to put all into the stone so I chose this setting.

What do you think about this diamond?

or I should not go that much into clarity?

Thanks!

That's a nice setting. If you can splurge a few hundred for these, I'd consider it. The heads are integrated making the whole look much more lux with really spending minimal extra

I like this one

but it has a fluorescence medium blue? It is not good right? I know you need to sacrifice somewhere but how this will affect the diamond look?

what about this one?

Is any of this diamond will be really different for the eye? that is what I am concerned the most. I am not really interested in a perfect quality under microscope...

Medium fluorescence is fine. Medium fluor should not over blue or have a negative effect on the the diamonds. At most medium flor typically makes the stone look a touch whiter in spots with uv light.

This is why I suggested them. They are very good options. The stones you've chosen are not your best options.

If your intended is not color sensitive, then this is a fabulous choice. The medium blue fluorescence should be nice with a J stone.

If she is color sensitive, I would stick with an H and maybe an I.

Do you happen to know?

And FWIW, this setting is really pretty. It's the setting my husband proposed with and it's really elegant and simple. For $150 more than the setting you chose I think it's well worth it.

Haha, great minds. What I like about this (and the similar one I posted) has a bar that hides the sides, so weather you get the j or the I I posted, or if anyone else has any idea- that'll hide somebody the profile color where the color is most noticeable
