Hi everyone! I am in the midst of designing an upgrade--a 2.7 carat cushion with tiny trap side stones. I've just gotten the second round of CADs back. I'm pretty happy with them but would love to hear from you! The one thing I'm not sure about is the angle of the traps. Should they be more sharply angled down? Or will it not really matter IRL since they're so small (about .40 ctw)?

And any other thoughts or reactions to the CAD overall? All feedback welcome! thanks.

Calling @Niel

Beautiful design! The cad looks pretty good to me. I would personally add square-ish donuts below the center and side stones, because I like the look and prefer a small gap if worn with a band. But you prefer the flush look, then that’s totally fine.
Here is what I have in mind:

I think the angle they're at works well. If you angle them down more, you won't see them well from the top, and it loses the effect of the three-stone look.

thanks for the feedback! If the look I'm going for is more accent stones, as opposed to a true three-stone, am I better off with more of an angle? Or am I splitting hairs at this point?

The existing angle seems perfect to me.

thank you! I'm just so nervous about pulling the trigger. the reassurance helps.

Also: the Vine trilogy is insanely gorgeous.

I think the angle is perfect. :)

I like the angle and the flush-fit shank. I would personally have then lower the center (and bring the sides along a the same angle/height relative to the center). But, I really really dislike height in my setting. I bang them on everything. I kept bending, breaking and maiming my prongs before I had every low low low :oops2:

I love it the way it is. It is seriously gorgeous and perfect!
