Please help me to help my friend buy his girl a diamond

Calling on all of you with diamond searching expertise....

My friend wants to buy his girl an engagement ring - yay! However, they have just had a baby and his budget is somewhat limited.

She would love a 1 carat (of course) and these are the specs:

- 1 carat (or thereabouts)
- Colour I/J/K (would prefer higher colour but being realistic with their budget)
- Clarity - eye clean
- Cut excellent
- Budget USD3,500 for the stone - this really is at the high end of the budget.

Any suggestions?

I've been keeping an eye out for a pendant stone and this one popped up a couple of days ago. I'm not sure about the K colour for myself but I bet this would be super sparkly! (And could be upgraded if funds allowed in the future )

1 carat K SI/VS2 is doable around 3.5k from non signature selections
