Please help me to choose a heart Emerald

Hi all, any help and comments will be appreciated.

I am looking for a heart shaped emerald. After reading many posts here about buying stones, I contacted a few vendors recommended here and by far i really like the Emeralds Gemfactor showed me.

The Emeralds in the videos are all Columbian and GRS certified. I dont know why but the emerald colour in the youtube clips looks a lot pale than the video Gemfactor sent me. The 2nd and 3rd are Muzo ones. The first 1.09ct one is more affordable around $2900 usd. Which one will you go for i f you were me?

Unless you are like my husband who (if he was a lady) fancies himself in small, tasteful rings, I would go for the 2ct.

I found that when I started out, I bought all these smaller stones that I now have no use for! As I got older, I wanted bigger, bolder.

Actually you are right, I now tend to buy bigger stones and pearls when getting older .

2.02ct cost 8200usd.... very expensive but for certified columbian muzo with this kind of quality I think we can call it a good price?

I can’t comment on the price or the vendor as Colombian Muzo is definitely not my specialty! Is there any scope for negotiation?

I’ve never bought or dealt with this vendor but they also have some pretty Colombian stones

I’ve been switching to bigger rings in the last few years and have regretted the funds I spent buying and setting smaller stones!

Hi, @Maria L! If I were choosing, I'd go for the 2.02-carat heart. They're all beautiful, though. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Also, the emerald ring in my profile photo is from Gemfactor; I've attached a photo of it, too. My emerald glows. The entire experience was top-notch, seamless, wonderful -- and I'd recommend Gemfactor without hesitation.

I love the shape of the second one - it’s such a perfect heart shape. I like the size of the third. The first one looks to pale imho.

thanks. When I first looked at the first one I was like 'wow!'. Then more 'wows' one after one! The 3rd is so beautiful and I can imagine the actual stone would look even more better!

I love the shape and size of the first emerald. I'm a minimalist, so a 2-carat stone is not my thing. Is it just me, or is the third emerald shape not so distinguishable when viewed from afar?
