Thank you for all the helpful information here. I am going to choose 6-prone platinum setting. Here is the diamond I am looking for:
0.70CT
G
VS2
IDEAL
Symmetry and Polish : Excellent
Girdle: Medium to slightly Thick, faceted 3.5%
Clarity: Cloud, Crystal
Depth: 62%
Table:56%
crown angel:35.5
Pavilion angel:40.6
Holloway cut advisor: Light Return Excellent Fire Excellent Scintillation Excellent
Spread or diameter for weight: Very Good
Total Visual Performance 1.3 - Excellent within TIC range

How do you think it? My concern is the table % is 56%. Make it looks smaller since it''s 0.7 ct.
Thank you very much

Looks promising from the numbers, can you get an idealscope image?

thank you.
it''s from bluenile, they can''t provide the IS image.

Which lab graded that stone? Why not buy from a vendor that can provide images?

Your budget and specs? Maybe we can find something that meets your need.

Numbers look good, BN will not provide images but they have a generous return policy, so you can purchase and take your time inspecting in person, having it sent to an appraiser, etc. I would feel comfortable doing this, the question is what you would rather do

If you state specs and budget we can find some from PS vendors who will look at the stone for you, which is preferable, as SC says.

Bigger table makes stone look bigger is an incorrect statement without more explanation. A 56 table will not make diamond look smaller unless you are perhaps in a situation where there is glare off the table, then a bigger table produces more glare so looks bigger. There is another "type" of diamond - a 60/60 (60 table, 60 depth) that has shallower crown and pavilion combos and that generally actually does spread larger than "tolkowsky types", so now it''s not a case of looking bigger - it actually is spreading bigger.

Thank you all for your help. I am new in the diamond searching.
My budget is $3000.
I would like to get ideal cut, excellet polish, excellent symmetry.
G, VS2, None culet, None Fluorescence.
Any recommendation?Thanks

Hi Jessie,

A couple of points to mention, GIA do not grade diamonds as Ideal so this description is probably vendor applied. It might be a good diamond but no way to tell from the basic numbers unfortunately. The table size is fine and won't make the diamond look small. What is the diameter in MM for this diamond? That will tell us the face up size or spread.

If you are concerned the HCA is only awarding the stone very good for spread there is no need to be, this is normal with diamonds that have depths over 60.3% as that is the border the HCA uses.

Thank you , the diamond measurement size is 5.64* 5.68*3.51
bluenile calls it ideal, on the GIA report states "excellent"

The price is $2547 in bluenile. what do you think about this price?

Thank you. Looks great. But G vvs2 , F vs2 is kind of perfect to me. :)

With a buget $2500 for the diamond(I will leave $600 for the setting).
, my budget is not that tight :)

Do you have any more recommendations?

I prefer G VS2 :)
My ring size is 3.75, I think a diamond around 0.70ct will not looks too small .
Thank you all for the reply.

You can always order it and have it checked out by an appraiser OR check it out yourself under different lighting conditions (if you
know what to look for). Blue Nile has a 30 day return policy.
