Hi guys,

I'm looking at this emerald cut with the following specs and ASET image. Any thoughts?

is the same one or a different one? It looks like a different one, and the ASET is significantly better. But it could be the same stone, just at a different angle.

Hi Gypsy! Different stone - this one is 1.2 instead of 1.21, E instead of F, and the l/w is slightly larger. The only thing I notice is slight leakage on the corners of the stone, but the brilliance is more evenly spread throughout (the last stone seemed to really pop on both ends, but lost the effect when you got to the center of the stone). This stone is a little more - $7995 instead of $7500 from the previous stone. Hopefully I have better info and pictures this time around.

Here's the stone against the brightest color card I could put in the background. Please advise and thanks for everyone's help!

Which one did the vendor prefer? ASET is better than the last one, but vendor's opinion carries weight, too. Did you get to see in person?

The vendor preferred this one - when looking right left to right the brilliance continues through the lines of the stone, whereas the brilliance of the previous stone seems to stop right at the middle and takes a little longer to pick back up when looking from side to side horizontally. He also commented that the depth of the previous stone was too great, which is what was most likely causing the light leakage in the center that was bothering me. He also commented that even the backside of the new stone showed brilliance throughout, while the previous stone had more dead zones that couldn't pick up the light quite as easily. Hopefully I'm making sense, and thanks for taking the time to respond.

I prefer this one from the regular pics... and ASET is a bonus. Of the two I think this one looks like a stronger choice.

It looks like it is going to perform much better, especially under the table.

Thanks Gypsy, based on the price specs and what you can make from the photos, do you think I should be concerned about the slight light leakage in the corners of the stone? And while this stone is better than the first, do you think it's a quality stone worth the money and purchase? Really appreciate your time and everyone's expertise :)
