Hello All,

I have went through all recent threads in detail to choose the following diamond. I was hoping you guys could confirm that it is a good buy:

To my novice eyes, the diamond looks good but wanted to get an opinion from you guys.

HCA score is 0.9 (Excellent, Excellent, Excellent, Very Good).
0.9 carat diamond, I VS2, Excellent Cut.

The diamond is going to be a center stone for a 3 stone diamond ring.

Thanks!!

I think it looks pretty good...slight leakage under the table but I dont think its enough to worry about.
How is the price?
Does it have a good return policy?

Price is around $3500 - 3600 USD. Return policy from the vendor is 30 days. However, I am buying it online and getting it set by a pricescope recommended vendor. So, I will not be physically looking at the diamond until it is set into the custom ring.

Thanks!

Could I please get an opinion on the following specs:

Measurements
6.47 - 6.51 x 3.85 mm
Carat Weight: 1.01 carat
Color Grade: I
Clarity Grade: VS2
Cut Grade: Excellent
Depth: 59.3%
Table: 61%
Crown Angle: 32.5deg
Pavilion Angle: 40.8deg
Medium Blue Fluorescence

The HCA score is 1.4 and price is around $4800 USD.

What do you guys think?

Cannot explain the HCA with that low crown and pavilion combo. Personally, I would not like a 32 crown or (but especially with) a 61 table.

More knowledgeable PSers will chime in though.

Crown angle is much too shallow in this diamond. I'd look elsewhere.

Would you say that the original diamond in my first post is a much better diamond?

Thanks!!

Yes, the first diamond will have better light performance.

If you wanted to hit 1 carat for around that price, check out this one. The SI2 grade comes from the crystal at the 3 o'clock position, but since it's a white crystal you'll barely see it (hence, it will be "eye clean"). Also, the dimensions are much more complementary.

:cheeky:OP, your first stone is much better! The crown angle is too low on the second suggestion and the price difference would not be worth it to me.

The JA suggestion has nice angle combinations, however the inclusion will most likely be visible and for that reason I would rule it out.

What are you comfortable spending? A 0.9ct diamond will look like a 1ct to most people and it is a great way to save money. But if you want to hit that 1ct mark, we can help you find a suitable stone within budget.

Thank you Everyone! I have decided to go with the first diamond.
