Hello I have been learning a ton about diamonds the past week. Thank you all for the great posts and thank you in advance for reading mine.

Thanks a bunch guys. I really appreciate this community it has really helped me find the best options in my price range.

Pic?

Unfortunately I don't have the option of getting pictures. I can always get the diamond and return it if it doesn't work out. I guess my real question is should I be concerned about a HCA of 3.9 on an excellent cut GIA with excellent polish and symmetry?

#1 is a steep/deep, not an ideal cut like you want. GIA's EX cut range is wide enough to drive a truck through, and a lot of cutters cut the stone to the outside edges of the EX range to save weight. This one is an example of that, I'd throw it back. #2 just might be a good one, worth looking at.

Thanks for the response. Yeah assuming that it comes back eye clean I think it might be a winner.

You should be concerned about all these diamonds without more information. Picture images, idealscopes, etc is needed to make any reasonable guess, and even then without stone in hand would be just that.

GIA grading reports do not give enough information, have a very broad cut grade and the specs given are rounded. If the vendor has a good return policy that would be the most important in deciding.

I wouldn't order a stone without pictures at a minimum. Absolutely rule out stones that have an HCA score much more then 2.0 (some might be ok up to about 2.5 but I'd want to see an ideal scope image). So of these 2 stones, only #2 is worth considering.

Considering gia rounding there is ~25% chance this diamond is just fine:
Carat weight:1.62
Cut: Ideal
Color: F
Clarity: SI1 (Checked and is eye clean)
Depth %:62.1%
Table %: 57%
Pavilion: 41.0 deg
crown: 35.5 deg

However it is not a good bet for buying blind, the chance of having to return is much higher than the other.
