PLEASE help me make a final decision

I'm not an expert for princess cuts but the G SI1 looks to have a better ASET (more light return). If I understand what I'm seeing, the G SI1 also looks to have more chevrons than the H VS2. If I am correct in this, the G will have a different kind of sparkle than the H. The G will have more, smaller splinters of sparkle while the H will have slightly larger sparkle/fire. Both are great looks, it just depends what type of looks you prefer. But the best would be to ask their gemologist about the number of chevrons.

I'm sure the princess cut experts will weigh in on this soon too. Is your maximum budget around 18K?
 
The G...if you look along the outter edge of the stone the G has a much nice faceting pattern. The G also has a little nicer aset image.

Edit ...this is just a little plus too...the shape of the table on the G is really sweet!
 
No doubt the G has a bit more of a "complicated" outer portion. I prefer the pattern on the G personally, but would go with clarity over color in most cases.

Forget the specs for a minute...which diamond is more pleasing to your eye?

Princess cuts, due to their corners, are more likely to show colour. The difference between the G and H may be very slight but if you or your SO are colour-sensitive, it's one more reason to go with the G.
 
The faceting on the G is nicer to my eye. :)

Don't pay for something you literally cannot see (inclusions), as long as the G is eye clean. You will notice body color.

I personally love the G one, however the big obvious feather in the centre, right underneath the table really bothers me. I mean i have confirmed with WF and they have assured me that it's completely eye clean even from as close as 6 inches. But i'm not sure how this whole "mind clean" thing will effect me later down the track. I really wish the feather was abit to the side.
 
You have to pick Your priority...if you think the feather is not going to be mind clean then go
with the H. You really cant go wrong with an ACA princess...figuring out your priorities is the hard part.

Good luck! You could have WF compare /contrast the 2 stones for you. That might push you towards
one over the other.

In general i find it very difficult to choose between color vs clarity. On one hand, i don't want to go below G because i think the stone would then begin to lose its colorlessness. On the other hand i want to have a good feeling that the stone is clean and doesn't have any major inclusions.

It's ironic because a few months ago i didn't want to go below F VS1 and here i am now discussing H, SI1 etc! But at least i'm getting a large 2c with arguably the best cut available in the world. The cut and carat should be priority anyway. After that it's color and clarity i guess. However, Color vs Clarity is a tough one !
 
I also noticed that one of the feathers is at the edge of the girdle?

Wouldn't this pose a durability risk?
 
The risk is overstated.

It is a little riskier if it is near the corner.

I assume you will buy insurance, 20K is a significant amount.
 
I'm not an expert, but from what I see the idealscope and ASET images still look better on the G.
