Hello,

Please help me find a particular setting. My fiance is interested in the following http://banthony.com/products/costar-engagement-ring-s08118x. I'm hoping this setting might be sold somewhere else too. I've looked but couldn't find it. I'm trying to find the engagement ring and wedding band at a better price. $5,900 for both seems a little steep. Any help would be appreciated

Has she tried it on? Because I think that would be pretty essential with a setting that is unusual like that. I have never heard of that brand so I can't help you with other sources. I do think it is rather pricey. Any chance she has other choices?

Yes, she's tried one on at a local jewelry shop that was the same or very close to the same. I almost bought it, but they tried to scam us so I refuse to do business with them.


She really likes this particular setting. Do you think it could be made custom for a decent price?

You might want to check out Mark Silverstein. He makes some rings that look similar to this.

I don't know of any other settings that are close enough to that, and I wouldn't attempt to have it made. The side bands stick up higher than the center part with the center stone which is very odd. But if this is the one she really loves, just contact Costar and ask for the name of another jeweler that sells the setting.
