I have been to several jewelery stores (places like Zales, Kay, Littman..etc at the mall) as well as some more high end stores, and have found a very beautiful ring by JB Star which costs approx. 3700 at retail value.
I am only getting one ring which will function as both the engagement ring and wedding band (I have small hands and really don't want two).
This ring is a single row eternity ring, and can't be made in white gold (only platinum).
It looks something like the attached photo.
The difference is that the one I saw was approximately .7ct total weight (the photo is a 3.23ct ring)
What I loved about the ring was that it was set very low (not too thick) and comfortable. The sides of the diamonds were slightly exposed so a lot of light went into them and they really shined. I have seen similar bands at other shops, much cheaper except much thicker (between the other fingers), and less comfortable.
I got a discounted price quote for this ring (diamonds halfway instead of eternity) that is still significantly higher than the budget which is about 1,000$ (though flexible). I am also more than okay (in fact prefer) a ring with diamonds that go halfway around the band instead of eternity. I really don't have any preference for a 'designer' ring either.
Have you seen any similar rings at a price closer to my budget?
