i have a beautiful wedding set custom made, however, after 2.5 kids (im pregnant with #3 and last), i gained weight in my hands. and due to the custom shank i have to have it completely remade instead of sized (lesson learned). Also husband upgraded my diamond three years ago, so i have been wearing a 1ct solitare with a plain band until we could afford to remake my wedding set. so here we are, looking at new wedding sets. but we have a unique issue. my mother gave me diamonds, 44 small ones that were used to create the original set (which is why it was custom made to begin with). so we have 44 small diamonds and 1 3/8 and 1 1ct. diamond to use. i have been talking with our jewlery back home about our options. she has been working with me over the internet for three weeks now and we finally settled on a e-ring setting and a wedding band. but husband and i are not happy with the band option. no matter the band, the rings will set apart and not be flush due to the head we are putting on the e-ring band. what do you suggest for a band? dh likes a matchy matchy enhancer/wrap, and i dont. i idealy would like a thicker wedding band, but not the one we have chosen right now. the online online site that our jewler can have me see (otherwise she is pulling from books in the store) is unique settings of new york.

I'm not really fond of the current style of band they designed. I think that an eternity style similar to the e-ring band would look nicer. The band you posted would look better on it's own.

I too would prefer a band closer in style to your ering. Perhaps you could use the other stones to make a right hand ring!

Truthfully, that jeweler doesn't look like they are really up to current ring designs. I would strongly recommend that you spend a few days looking through the Show Me the Bling threads to get some ideas.

In addition, here are some sites of some of the best custom ring designers that have been used a lot here. You can get some wonderful ideas. Plus, seriously, these are master jewelry makers and you need to be sure of the quality you are getting.

because we are having to do this because my hands gained weight, i want to avoid eternity bands. i love them so much, but they cant be resized. im hoping to find a faux eternity one. that would be ideal.

Any custom made band can have the diamonds stop anywhere you want. Did you look through the sites above?

A 3/4 eternity band matching the shank of your ering should look very nice, and be resizable.

I second the suggestion to look at the designs on the Victor Canera, Leon Mege, Steven Kirsch, and Maytal Hannah's websites. These jewelers all do custom work and are highly regarded on PS. Brian Gavin Diamonds is a vendor that many PSers have also contracted, and he does non-custom and custom work, and I like his designs. His website is here: http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/..

half and 3/4 eternity band are what im looking for. thank you! i looked at the other jewelers sites and feel in love with some. i just feel so loyal to who we use and trust them since they made our first set. to keep the cost down they are trying to find us premade options that our stones will fit into, which is why we are having such a hard time because the options are small.

With the style of e-ring that you have, I would not get a flush fit band, since the diamond girdles look to be exposed and could scratch a band worn next to it. you could get a thin metal band to wear as a spacer band in between your two rings so they do not damage each other.

Also, any band that you like can be made into a 1/2 or 3/4 eternity!
