Hi everyone! I went dress shopping yesterday and I''m pretty sure I''ve found THE DRESS!! Problem is that I wanted to try and find the same dress online so I could order it for less but I''m having a lot of problem finding the exact style number. I know the designer is Allure but maybe it''s from a past season? Please help me!! Thank you in advance!

Thanks for your help bee* but that''s not the one. I looked up a large picture of it and there are no flower appliques

No prob. I searched a ton of sites and I can''t seem to find it. Would the shop give you the style number?

Wow I really appreciate you doing that. I''ve been looking all day too. The salon would only give me their stock number for the dress. I did read on the Allure site that they have an unadvertised line so I''m guessing the dress is part of that line. Go figure!

I hope you find it! that dress looks amazing on you.

No problem at all. That''s a pity that you can''t find it anywhere. Is there another allure store near where you live. Maybe if you try it on there they might have the proper number for it.

No doubt this is a dumb question, but how can a store sell a dress without knowing the proper information on it? A style number seems like a *really* basic piece of information. Do they not supply it because they honestly don''t know, or because they''re trying to manipulate you into buying it from them?

My dress was an Allure, and the store I tried it on at wouldn''t tell me the style number. Then I soon learned that apparently a LOT of the Allure styles are not posted online. I got around this by emailing a pic of myself in the dress to Pearl''s Place or RK Bridal, I forget which, and they told me the style number after I had my MOH call and ask. Even without the style number though, the store I emailed was able to tell me they did have it available for less than 1/2 the cost! Good luck!

They must have the correct number to order it from the suppliers, so I guess that it''s so you''ll order it from them. I really hate that practice though.

noelwr - Thanks! I really love the dress. It''s the only one I''ve felt like "me" in and go figure it''s the difficult one to find!

bee* - Good idea, I thought about calling around and asking but I''m not sure how to explain which dress I''m asking for without a style number!

gwendolyn - Yup, I read somewhere that bridal salons have some pretty shady practices and I think this is one of them. Really makes you lose faith in the wedding industry.

sabine - what a great suggestion!! I just emailed Pearl''s Place and will try to give RK bridal a call later on. I didn''t see an email address for RK Bridal. Do you remember if you received your dress from Pearl''s Place (which did have email contact info)?

Thanks again to everyone for their comments and helpful suggestions! I''ll keep you posted...
