I am trying to evaluate the cut of this lab marquise. It seems to throw a lot of fire which is what I'm looking for but would like your expert opinions on it. The IGI certificate is LG655460717. I tried to take some ASET images but it was difficult as it is set into a ring but I did my best! Would you rate this as a very good or excellent cut by the ASET images and the specifications? What are your opinions on it? Thank you!

Also I have just realized that this diamond has French tips. Is this regarded as a positive or does it affect the quality of the cut in a negative way?

Its to help make the pointed ends of the stone safer and less likely to chip. I would consider that a positive.
I* dont think it would negatively affect the stone or they wouldn't do it. People would just have to take their chances
with possible cracking/chipping near the ends, like they've done since the marquise shape was created.

It looks like a lovely stone. What do you think about it? It looks perfect on your hand, and I like the 3 stone setting you put it
in. Is it as fiery as you expected?

Yes it does have more fire than the other marquise that I bought last year. I think it is lovely plus my husband likes this setting and he is tough to please as I like lots of sparkle and he likes more simple settings so this one is a good compromise. I guess I'm just looking for confirmation that it looks really good as I spent more on this one than I had planned because I didn't want to order a bunch of stones again trying to guess which one would have a lot of fire, go through the return process and then try to find a setting that I liked. I like this one enough that I keep delaying going to my jeweler to have it sized up a size and a half because then I wouldn't be able to squish it on my finger and look at it all day!

I would love to get a response from Garry H (Cut Nut) , dejawiz or other diamond experts on the diamond ASET or specs. I am trying to learn as much as I can about diamonds so that I can make better choices.
