Please help me design a setting

Hello,

Long time lurker here in PS. My husband has agreed to have my e-ring reset and I've been searching PS for ideas. The one that really spoke to me is Frankiextah's Victor Canera e-ring (see picture below). It's just so delicate and feminine. I like the fact that there's minimal metal showing and no gap between the centerstone and halo. What I really like about the ring is that the center stones and diamonds in the halo are well proportioned. That is what I want for my ring. Unfortunately, my center stone is a dwarf compared to Frankie's. I believe Frankie's is 2.3 ct. Mine is only 1.03 ct. If I do set my center stone similar to Frankie's, I'm afraid it may look like a cluster of diamonds. Plus, many of the halo settings I see have a centerstone of at least 2ct.

Is it possible to achieve the look that I want with a smaller centerstone or am I better off with another setting?

I think if you use Victor Cannera he will make sure the ring is proportional and balanced. Everything that we have seen him do he has turned out beautiful.

If you look through the Show me you 1-2 carat thread you will see many example of 1 carat-ish stone that have been set into halos that look lovely and not at all like a cliuster ring.

I think it would be very pretty with a 1 ct. stone! If you look for Gypsy's ring, she has an asscher in the 1 ct. range in a halo made by Steven Kirsch. I think it is a great way to add a little size to the e-ring!

you could definitely use different sized melee so the proportions are right. I think a 1 ct stone would look great with a halo setting...Gypsy's is a great example!

Thank you eh613c! I love my ring. No one (even Pricescopers) believe that it's a one carat center when they see it. Mine is finely made by a master pave artist (Steven, highly recommend him) with 1/2 point diamonds. When I had a one point halo it was more of a cluster look. I really recommend a very thin halo with 1/2 pointers.
