Hi everyone!
Distraction and waffle are my middle names. Really. I've been SO indecisive about this bangle. It's now time to ask for help.
I have a 1.12 carat diamond that came from my mom and it's been sitting in my box for 4 years. When I saw @goldenfire 's bangle I swooned and started this journey. Here is her bangle...

Of course, I couldn't keep it simple and found one I really liked - it's the overlapping one, lower right, but I would use the diamond and a green stone. The gold would be the same as goldenfire's.

So here is my problem. For the life of me I can't decide which stone to use. The stone in the ring is an emerald I've had for years, and the other one is a Jeff White tsavorite. Both are beautiful and equally hard to photograph.

Any opinions? Should I halo the green, whichever I choose?
Thanks in advance to everyone!!

I love that overlapping bangle idea! It's definitely the best of both worlds.
I'm having a hard time choosing between the emerald and the tsav because I like them both for different reasons. Either way, you had me at halo..so yes, halo the green one! :halo::mrgreen2:

Love the overlap design.
The emerald is already set - use the tsavorite. ( it’s not super deep, is it?)
Yes to the halo, if it’s small melee.
Love your choices!

Hun, both green stones will require some babying set in a bangle that may get the occasional knockaround (at least for my bangles). But I'd go with the tsav as it has more presence:)

The Tsav is 3.8mm deep, the diamond is 4.13, so that's not a problem. I'm wondering about the size of the melee if I choose the tsav...

Both are about the same hardness, so it's just a choice between the richer emerald or the brighter tsav...thanks for chiming in.
I'm also worried if I choose the emerald that it will overshadow the diamond...:eek2:

I favour the Tsavorite and would not halo is diamonds.

I would consider a metal only halo for both the CS and diamond.

Personally I would bezel set both stones.

I would definitely have the Tsavorite set in East-West direction.

Tiny tiny tiny.
When I first read your post I thought you were making fun of my little bitty diamond. Then I saw the tiny tiny halo...SO CUTE!!

Thanks for your help. It seems most are leaning towards the tsav. I haven't thought through the smaller details as I was stuck on the stone choice. I'm such a dork. I really like the milgrain on goldenlove's bangle so I'm staying with that for the diamond. And yes, east-west will look the best, I think.

I too favor the tsav, but I think either green stone would work well.

I wonder if the diameter of the diamond at 7mm might be a little small for a single stone in a bracelet. Maybe rest it on your wrist and see for yourself. If it does seem too small then halo it to a more appropriate size. I would then check to see if the haloed diamond and the tsav have approximately the same face up areas. If the tsav is too small then halo it too.=)2

Can't design my way out of a paper bag but here to cheer you on!!!!

Yellow gold?

I vote the tsav too because both stones are fab and I'd just go with the unset one.

I go with halo and the unset tsav but tiny tiny melees. Just to even out the width of both stones a little, since the diamond looks bigger.

And as usual @Rfisher and her ps skills... :appl:

Icy, isn't she awesome? I agree with the teeny tiny melee. Both stones are off to DKJ in the morning. Thanks for your help!

I’m voting for the Tsav with the diamond. No need to “unmount an emerald ” out of a lovely ring
BUT, I’d be doing a white gold bezel around the diamond and yellow gold around the Tsav AND I be adding 2 or 3 wee diamonds to the Tsav side and 2 or 3 wee green gems to the diamond side, just claw set into the bangle arm.

Bron!! I love this idea! I've always admired @MakingTheGrade's toi et moi ring and this sounds similar. What a great idea. I wish I could photoshop what i'm seeing in my head.

ETA: Using my crummy photoshop skills...
sort of like this? With @Rfisher teeny halo around the tsav in yellow gold?
