1.86 H VS2 Triple Excellent GIA $15,209.00

http://www.angara.com/shop.do?pID=99659

It has thin to medium facets...is this ok for a 6 prong Tiffany Platinum Setting? My girlfriend is very active and I do not want her to lose it or chip it.

Thank you so very much

Thanks that is a neat tool.
What do you think about the price?
I have checked the average price stat charts on this site and I have not seen prices that low anywhere?? Where do thse prices come from?

you can compare prices using the tool up on the top of this page where it says Pricescope your diamond.

that is a pretty steep crown angle, but it appears to work with the pav angle. interesting because we don''t see FIC''s very often on here!! have you seen the stone in person?

Thanks, I am very new to this process could you please tell me what you mean by you "do not see FIC''s around here"

a FIC is a fiery ideal cut, leaning a bit more towards the fire side of the sparkle than the white brilliance. a lot of older stones are more fiery like cushions or old mine cuts. it''s a little unusual to find well cut rare FIC''s, which is why i was curious if you have seen the stone in person.

Thanks, I am really getting an education. I have not see the stone in person. But now I am more confused no wonder why diamonds are not a liquid currency. So from my reading on this board and the web it seems that FIC has a different look than a BIC or a H & A "more fire less white'' I wish I new what that meant too?? To a ordinary person am I actually going to see this difference or is it only seen by someone who is well experienced in this art? Maybe she would settle for a new car instead???

Not as much as one might think.

Here
is a thread where many of us learned exactly what an FIC means.

Thanks Ellen, That was very informative. I will have to compare side by side with a TIC and a BIC. I assume it is a matter of preference. That said does the market price these stones the same if they have the same grading reports? Or does one cut demand a premium over another. Since FIC may be less available does that mean they should cost more or is it that people now prefer a BIC or a FIC?

Thanks again

Yes, it''s entirely a matter of preference!

As for pricing, an AGS report may fetch a couple hundred more than GIA. Also, the closer to "ideal" dimensions/specs a stone gets, the more expensive it is. If anything, I would think an FIC would be a bit of a bargain. Most people prefer a TIC, but again, that doesn''t make those "better", it''s just what many prefer, as it has a nice mix of both.

But you will do well to observe all 3 and see what your own eyes like!

And you''re welcome.
