I have been looking at a round 2.09 carat and need to make a decision by Monday if I will purchase it or not.
I lost my engagement ring on Halloween 2015 and have been looking for a replacement stone ever since. This one is the most consistent in light performance in person in various lighting situations. It does turn slightly gray in direct sunlight, but still maintains fire and sparkle. In indirect sunlight it is beautiful, reflecting many different pastel colors.
The concerns I have are:
The crown angle is outside the super ideal range at 36 degrees, everything else fits.
I had them run a Sarin report and there is a culet of 3%, but the GIA cert says none?
The GIA says the depth is 62.2 and the Sarin says 62.1
Both Sarin and GIA dimensions plugged into HCA yeild 1.9, with fire being excellent
I looked at the stone with an idealscope and it looked excellent, however, the Sarin shows leaking light on the right and bottom sides.
The Sarin shows a black point in the center of the image of the diamond itself with the arrows. (is this the culet?)
There are clefts in the top V of the hearts, is this less than 8% and a true hearts and arrows? Or does it fail as a hearts and arrows?
Thank you for taking a look!
