Please help me choose the best diamond. 24 hours to decide!

Hello everyone. Thank you in advance for any help you may offer me. I'm looking to get engaged in two weeks and I'm pretty sure I'm running out of time here. I'm taking my girlfriend to NY and hope to have everything ready by then.

I want to spend 5k at most (including the setting, so about 4.4-4.5k on the diamond). I originally had 1 carat in mind, by I didn't want to spend another thousand bucks (at minimum).

I've been looking at my options for quite a while, and I believe that something around .9 carat would work best. Round/H/VS2/Excellent cut.

Here are two diamonds that I'm currently looking at:

They are both very nice. I personally prefer the numbers on the H. But the G is going to be nice as well.

What are you thinking about in terms of settings for it?

She has small hands, I think. 4.5 ring size, so I've been thinking about something very thin. This is the front runner, she likes simple designs:

The G looks bad in the image so I would rule that one out. The H has a 36 crown angle which means it could have leakage and needs an ASET image. So I'd say you need to choose something else if they don't have the H on hand to do an ASET image quickly. Link doesn't work to the setting. You'd need to call B2C and be sure that setting can be done in two weeks.

table: 54-58

depth: 60-62.3

crown angle: 34-35.0

pavilion angle: 40.6-40.9

I wouldn't pay for VVS clarity. But it's got good numbers.

The pickings are VERY slim. Are you on a timeline? In a few weeks the vendors will be restocked.

They can also get you any of the following, which would run around 600 and under. I suggest if you go for one of these you get Stuller's X1 metal if you go for white gold as it doesn't need plating. Or platinum, of course.

That four prong is elegant, classic, modern and allows for a flush fit wedding band. It is one of my favorite settings. And BE can finish it with a great polish and 'claw prongs' on it for you and make it look like a much more expensive setting. That's the setting I recommend you get.

And they will have other settings, not on their site in the store that they can take pictures of and send to you.

Yeah. Also mention that Stuller 4 prong if you like it. I think it's a stunning setting and it will let her dress up her set with ANY band she wants when she's band shopping.
