Hey everyone, as some of you may know I just ordered my first RB diamond from WF last week, stats are below, and I am having it set into the legato sleekline setting: http://www.whiteflash.com/Engagement-Rings/Styles/Solitaire/-Legato--Sleek-Line_1118.htm .
Report: AGS
. Shape: Round Ideal Cut
. Carat: 0.810
. Depth %: 60.4
. Table %: 56.2
. Crown Angle: 34.8
. Crown %: 15.2
. Star : 53
. Pavilion Angle: 40.7
. Pavilion %: 42.8
. Lower Girdle %: 77
. Girdle: Thin
. Measurements: 6.06-6.07X3.66
. Polish: Excellent
. Symmetry: Excellent
. Culet: Pointed
. Fluorescence: Negligible
Now I need to pick a wedding band to wear with it! I currently have a little 1.8mm 14K WG band, but I want a new one that will be a better match size-wise for the legato, and also in 18K gold.
The solitaire is 2.5mm wide and I asked WF to measure it''s thickness too, and it is 1.8mm at the side of the finger, which is where any thickness difference between the bands would be most noticable IMO. I am going to have is sized 1/4 size bigger than my e-ring for comfort, since I want to wear it 24/7. Here are the options I am considering, all from e-weddingbands.com. I want to keep the budget in the range of the options I''ll present.
Option 1:
3mm 18K White Gold Wedding Band, Milgrain Edges. This one is 1.5mm thick, but since it will be sized 1/4 size larger I think it will probably have the same profile as the legato, which is 1.8mm. I am thinking that although this band is .5 mm wider, this will be less visually apparent b/c of the milgrain.
