Please help me choose a RB diamond for VC’s emylia!

BG setting is NOT going to look like Victor's. For a delicate micropave halo, I'd choose Victor all day long.

I just wanted to second this. VC's pave work is beyond compare. I have had a few pieces from BGD and they are fine, but I would choose Victor in a heartbeat for any intricate setting, and a halo in particular. Seriously, his craftsmanship is truly amazing.

I don’t believe so. There’s still a lot of contrast, as indicated by the deep blue arrows.

The IDJ is a beautiful GIA diamond, but the BGD is superior. If the price is the same, I would go with BGD. If there is a significant price diff, I might reconsider.

Upgrade options between the two vendors are not identical. I would also inquire with IDJ about that.

Yes, the price are very similar. I also tend to keep my BGD even though the clarity is VS2 vs VVS2. The clarity shouldn’t make such a big difference, right?

Cannot advise you about stone selection but I am so glad you will choose the Emilya. I own several rings by Victor Canera and he is a league on his own. You will love his craftmanship!

In this case I'd choose the BGD stone - you won't be able to tell much of a difference with your naked eye between an eye clean VS2 and a VVS2 and you're getting a super ideal cut with a written upgrade policy for the same price. I love IDJ and if this stone came at an appealing cost savings, I'd be all for it.
