Hi everyone! I have been searching for a lab grown elongated radiant cut diamond in the 2.5 carrot range. It has been a struggle to narrow down an option that will have maximum sparkle, brilliance, and is an ideal cut since I will be purchasing online. After working with Rare Carrot and Ritani I have a list of 4 options to choose from for a diamond that were recommended to me.

Would greatly appreciate any feedback, suggestions, or insights on the following 4 options:
  1. Option 1: 2.51 CT
  2. Option 2: 2.5 CT
  3. Option 3: 2.55 CT
  4. Option 4: 2.59 CT
Thanks in advance!!!!

Hi Diamondpink2! Radiants are tricky because there are quite a few facet patterns, and you need to know what length to width ratio pleases you most. I personally love a chunky one, and went with a 1.25 ratio. Then there's the table and depth percentages, the girdle, and the other angles, but most importantly is how your own eyes perceive it. Not to mention the color. Just because it gets a certain letter grade doesn't mean the diamond doesn't have any undertones that are displeasing, or any internal characteristics that you may not like.

The greatest most perfect ratios on paper mean nothing unless you like the way the diamond looks in person. If you can't shop in person, order one and see how you like it. We typically know within 10 seconds of opening a diamond package whether or not it's pleasing to our eyes. Both of those linked diamonds are very pretty, but I like the measurements on the 2.55 better than the 2.59.

Let us know which one you go with!
