Any help gathering info to help me get these appraised and insured would be greatly appreciated.

Any information which you garnered from photos posted to a forum on the internet would not be accepted by any reputable insurance company as an appraisal.
If you want a proper appraisal you will have to track down a specialist pearl appraiser who is GIA or similar registered and you will have to pay for their opinion
Informally however, what colour are the pearls? Are they really that deep gold colour? What size?

thank you for the response the size of the pros are 4 and 1/2 millimeters to 5 and 1/2 millimeters most round and some button and yes they are really that deep gold color. The luster is amazing.

Are these new pearls? Or some that have been in the family for awhile?

These are family heirlooms. They were bought sometime between 1900 - 1905. They have been stored for the last 30 years or so.

poe Pipi?
the colour and size are right...(although I am always chary of saying that any old pearls are even real pearls as against good imitation unless I have them right there in front of me..so don't get even a little bit excited)

I totally understand. Im just looking for some professional and educated information to help me take the next step in getting some legitamate documentation to get them insured properly and to also shed some light on this family mystery. I appreciate all comments.

Wow, 1900 to 1905! Please share what you find out with us!

Can you post more pictures, please. Close-ups on a white background (I use white Kleenex or paper towels).

Fascinating!

Suggest you contact your nearest GIA (Gemological Institute of America) office to discuss your options with them for identifying and appraising your pearls. Perhaps they can suggest an appraiser(s) near you that specializes in pearls, as many appraisers know diamonds and gemstones, but not pearls.
