The ring was giving by a family member that no longer able to tell me information about it. I would like to know how much the ring is worth or know some information about it.

All I know is that it’s a sapphire stone and with side diamonds. I don’t know if the sapphire is heated or unheated. It looks like it’s ranging from .70-80ct? How do I find out what kind of sapphire it is?

Also the stamp inside the ring say 14kt CEI. What does it mean?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The setting is 14K gold, the ring was bought from a company called Columbian Emerald International.

Pretty ring. If you take it to an appraiser, they typically give you a much higher value than you can get for it, for insurance purposes. Its really hard to judge the quality of the sapphire from photos since they may be inaccurate, but subcarat sapphires aren’t worth very much unless they’re some exceptional color and untreated. The diamonds are nice and clean, but again, not worth much unless much larger. If you were going to pawn it, most of the value you would get would be in the gold. It’s sad, but true.

Hi @T L @chrono thanks for the info. I do like this ring as I don’t see setting like it often and I think it’s very pretty. I will probably keep it and wear it when I get older. It doesn’t match my style at the moment.
