Hello expert ring investigators,
My jeweler didn't know too much about the history behind this ring, who designed it, and its exact origin date, other than "early 1940s" and "from New York". Any further detail on provenance would be much appreciated. I think it conveys a subtle vintage Hollywood sensibility, stylish and glitzy without being too baroque. Simple, classic.
All feedback/ideas are welcome.
Thanks all!
Here's the description: centered with one (1) round brilliant cut diamond set into four-prong setting. The shoulders of the ring are each accented with three (3), channel set, round single cut diamonds, bordered with milgrain edging. The ring measures 4.7mm at the top, rises 5.0mm above the finger, tapering to 0.8mm wide and 0.8mm thick at the base of the shank.
