Wedding Please help I have to pick a cake today !

It has to be a pale light blue, and I have to start looking today for a perfect cake pic to send to my event planner before i sign the contract. I''m so not working today lol

Here is one. The color is soft, but I think the purple hydrangea make it look more light purple. Try omitting the hydrangea from your thoughts.

Do you already have a shape in mind? When I started looking for images I just had it in mind to look for cakes that would look good if they were in light blue.

I''ll attach a few that I thought were kinda neat.

This first one could easily be done with the a pale blue icing instead of ivory. I love the flowering branch but I don''t know your style so it might not match your wedding decor at all.

I think that this last one could be done with pale blue as the main color and then ivory where the yellow piping is. I wanted to show you this one because I think the multifaceted layer shape is an interesting departure from the traditional round cakes. I think it would be beautiful with or without the flower details.

bliss, I would just start googling wedding cakes, find one that you love, and then find the color you want and show them the color and the cake! It''ll open up your options a lot more than if you just search for blue cakes.

Normally I hate The Knot, but they do have a large archive of beautiful cakes...I would start there and with google images.

AND the one Claritek posted with the hexagons is GREAT - especially if you''re modern, I think the shape is very unique. It would be beautiful in blue and an accent color.

Haha and I think I''m going to have to steal the perfect color from Claritek''s aqua one - that''s what I want to use!!

Modern with the offset layers - they look like squares just caddy-cornered with each tier. Very basic plus flowers!

OK last one (picture it in your blue) - at first I thought it was a BUILDING haha but it's just the light. (But wouldn't a skyscraper/huge casino building cake in Vegas be awesome??) Still an amazing pic though, and a unique cake - it said it's round with snowberries on top and pearl borders. Maybe it's the lighting, but it looks oval to me, which I think is a great idea.

This is my cake it was a wedgewood blue IRL but it could have been done in a lighter shade as well.
