Hi everyone,

Two years ago, I got a lot of help choosing stones from PriceScope. I ended up getting a ring from Victor Canera, and she loved the ring so much. We will have a wedding on June 2nd. However, my fiancee car was broken in last week while she made a stop at her office after she went to a gym. Her bag got stolen as well as the ring. She cried the whole night and kept blaming herself. sad :(( I told her it is ok since she I have insurance with JM.

The wedding is coming, so I don't have much time left. It will take Victor a month to finish the ring.
I plan to get a bigger stone for her this time. I have two last candidates and would like to get your feedback. Both have HCA less than 1 and should be eye clean.

I probably need to decide by tonight.
2.81ct I VS1 $26,965

3.18 ct I SI1 $30,900

If you guys have other options, I would appreciate if you share.
Thank you in advance.

Best regards,
Paul

Very sorry to hear about the theft of your fiancee's stone. Lucky it was insured.
Good prices, reasonably well cut stones by the numbers. I have preference for the second set of numbers.

If you plan on upgrading, you could consider this:

EyeClean SI2 but you will get a boost in colour and lifetime upgrades. Any photos?

So so sorry for the theft. Heartbreaking.
I like the 3.18 diamond.
My strict rule is that my diamond ring is only ever in one of two places.
1. On my finger.
2. In its ring box secure at home.
If your fiancée ever needs to take it off when out (and I do gym wearing mine) it should go onto a solid chain around her neck. Never put it in a handbag or gym bag, always keep it securely fastened to her!

Thank you for your feedback. I am leaning toward 3.18ct as well.
This is a lesson she will never forget.

Hi Paul,

So sorry to hear what happened, thank goodness you're insured and with the others, diamonds are always safer on your person but she knows that now.

If the 3 ct is eye clean to your specifications and the cloud mentioned as a grade maker isn't causing a loss of brilliance ( I'd want to check in this size as SI clarity), then that's the one I'd choose.

I just got a video of the diamond.

I like the 3.18 too. How neat that you can see the GIA inscription in the video!

I like the 3.18, I am so sorry that happened. You are so sweet to make it right so quickly :).

Thank you, everyone! I will go with 3.18ct. I hope Victor can get it done in time.

It's stunning, she's a lucky lady both with the stone and her choice of life partner!

I'm so sorry about the theft but happy you found a gorgeous replacement and I bet VC will have the ring ready for you in time! Good luck and best wishes and congratulations on your upcoming wedding.:appl:

Unfortunately, the stone was sold already. Have to start the search again ;(.
