Hi everyone,

Well the time is come after months of learning, and years of saving! My girlfriend and I totally do not know which stone to choose between the following MRB at Brian Gavin 1.211 I Vs2 .... or 1.211 H Si1

The price is only $200 difference... I asked if I could get a hearts image for the Blue and was told they do not do that for any BG Blue diamonds...

I need your help as to which one would look better... Keeping in mind we don't ever plan on upgrading this diamond...

The setting we want is a 18k Yellow Gold Tiffany setting...

Thanks so much... all opinions are welcome! What would you choose and why? I reserved the Vs2 I.... just in case... as I don't read many people recommending fluorescence diamonds often here.

Actually the BG Blue line are considered a safe choice for fluorescent diamonds. They are specially vetted to ensure there are no negative effects. I prefer the Blue!

I am not an HnA girl so I will let the others chime in on proportions...

I would take the higher color, it looked eye clean.

The BG Blue is very nice. Better IS image as well.

I see the AGS inclusion plot is blank? This happened with my stone. I'd ask BGD to send you a copy of the cert with the populated inclusion plot, just so you can see it before you buy.

Both stones look outstanding and so are the ideal scope images. It would depend on the clarity for me. I'd want to know if the inclusions in the SI1 are visible from any distance from top or sides. Certainly an H with fluoro will look a little whiter. I actually prefer fluoro if I can get it. But, you need to know that there is prejudice against fluoro from many jewelers. So you have to be secure in your decision to buy one.

Wow so 4 of you are saying the Blue stone would look better.

Will they actually look at the stone for me? The person I have spoken to was nice, but only looked at diamond certificates, and said that they had noted that the inclusions for the Si1 was faint, but again didn't look at the stone itself...

Also has anyone been successful of getting a Hearts Image from them from their blue line even after purchasing it?

But I really want it to be eyeclean from even 2 inches away, and from sides... I have a hard time seeing inclusions with their photos compared to James Allen or Good old Gold...

The link to the AGS certificate for the Blue Stone is here where you can see the inclusions better on the image

How bad is a Indented Natural? She said they would just cover it with a prong... but never looked at it...
