Hi all,

When I took pictures of my fiance e-ring, I saw a whole lot of dust particals or something else on the surface. I tried to load the pictures but keep getting error message saying file can''t upload. Can some one helps me upload the pictures by letting me email you the files then you can upload it for me. Hopefully the things I saw just dust particals. My email is [email protected]

Thanks

If you go to my thread, \"I bought it!\" you''ll see that my center stone does the same thing, but when you look at it with a loupe or the naked eye, there''s nothing to see...it could be the light refracting or it could be pinpoint inclusions that are being picked up by the camera flash. But to the naked eye, this is a VERY clean-to-the-eye diamond.

Hi Achioalumna,

thanks for your respond. I did see those dust or whatever they are with my 10x loupe. Can you help me post the pictures so others can see?

Actually...I''m not the best person to get pictures on this site as I was having problems too and Maxine had to help me! LOL

I''m sure others who are more adept at this will be able to help you post...

Thanks so much bopitaddict,

so guys, are they dust particles or something else?

I wonder the same thing, Kevin. I''ve had a hard time photographing my diamond. I''ve literally taken 100 pictures to get a few good shots. I have only one feather and a few pinpoints in my stone, but when I photgraph it, it has those same specs all over it that I know are not there. Could it be some sort of reflection from the camera?

Those are some great dust photos.

This is a problem that all those who take diamond photos for a living run into. It''s hard to get a diamond scrupulously clean enough that the dust doesn''t show up.

A steam cleaner is a help, but if you don''t have one of those handy you can use an artist''s paintbrush along with a half cup of water and half a dozen drops of dishwashing soap. Brush the diamond thoroughly to get rid of all the dust and then photo it.

Richard,

Thanks for your reply. Now I can go back to sleep stress free.
