I have been working on a three stone ring with DKJ, mainly with Amy, on this setting for a few months now. It took longer than it should have because of my undecisiveness, not Amy's fault. Amy and David have been extremely patient as always.

Sorry, it's aother round center with pear sides ring. Nothing new or exciting...but please, give me your opinions anyway.

I really didn't have an inspirational ring, or we did initially, but we kinda went off a different direction due to the sizes of the stones. Few style design changes and this is a pic of the style or design I think I want to settle for. Unless you think I made a bad choice. Bezeled and completely enclosed with plain gallery.

This pic pic has the changes I will ask them to make. image.jpeg The dotted penciled line on the drawing is the outline of the cad picture above and the solid lines are the changes I made. I want the side pears to tilt down a little bit and slim down the shank and possibly to make it more "squarish" . Do you think it's a good idea to make these changes or should I leave it as is. Any additional changes I need to make?? Please do give me your advice.
For reference, center diamond is 1.5ct fancy light yellow and the pears are white .30 ct, each. Thank you in advance for reading my post and any advice given is greatly appreciated.

I definitely would have galleries and not totally enclose the stones. Pears especially have some leakage, so they need light from the sides, I would think. But not just that, I think design wise, you just need something on the sides rather all that solid metal.

Thanks DS, I'll take that advice and see if I can search for some "cut-out" ideas to the gallery to allow some light. Right now, I don't have any ideas. Hopefully some creative minds out there will chime in or post some pics. Though, I do want to stay with simple, clean design for this setting.

Totally agree. All diamonds need light to sparkle; more light exposure, better performance. Open the gallery across the sides (profile), and it's perfect!
Would like us to try to find some photos for inspiration?

Do you have a top view you can post? I would open the gallerys too.

Please do open the gallery. They can be plain or very decorative. If you find a single stone bezel that you like, that often can translate to a multistone gallery.

Thank you for your replies! Since you all agreed with the open gallery, I'm so glad I asked first before go ahead with my design.
Originally, it was all open gallery, but I didn't like the look of it and wanted to close the center diamond so the gold will enhance the light color diamond to give it some color. Then I made more and more changes....didn't know what I want. I guess or didn't know what I'm doing??

Matthews - yes! I would love to see some inspirational pics and even just ideas of what shape/design for the cut outs.

Tyty - yes, I also have several cads prior to this last one. I'm going to post some first few cads here to see if you can point to me the right direction.

Then I wanted to close the center diamond to give it more color. This will be done in 18k yellow gold. I also wanted the pears to tilt less??

I thought this looks odd so I asked to have gallery completely closed and tilt the side pears slightly more but not as much as the first cads.

This is the last one

I thought this look's more appealing to my eyes.
Here is what I like to have in this setting. Low profile, modern and clean look, and if I can, to give my light yellow diamond a little more color without an underneath cup. I hope this all makes sense.
