Please Evaluate these idealscope images!

Hi all,

In the market for a diamond engagement ring and have been educating myself on online diamond buying thanks to you all! I have found 3 stones that I like and have collected the idealscope images. Could you all rate these images and tell me why you rated them that way? I'm still trying to learn how to read idealscope images and would appreciate your input. I have H&A pics for 2 of the stones too, which I will ask about after I get an opinion on the idealscope. Thanks!

I'm in the same boat as you, trying to learn to read idealscopes and ideal angles. Based purely on the images, #3 seems to be the worst one due to significant light leakage in the table. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. The lab reports for each would be helpful

OK here are the measurements:

Top Image:
1.27 H SI1 GIA excellent cut and symmetrty VG polish, table 57% depth 61.2% crown 35.0 pavillion 40.6

Middle image:
1.24 H SI1 GIA triple excellent Table 59% depth 59.8%, crown 33.5, pavillion 41.0

*note this received an SI1 clarity based off of clouds that are not shown in the reference diagram on the GIA report--is that OK?, also it seems like a remarkably good deal compared to the other stones-- almost 1k cheaper!*

Bottom image:
1.32 H SI2 GIA triple excellent Table 57% depth 61.9% crown 34.5 pavillion 41.2
** this is a GOG diamond and seems really excellent but is a bit pricier and I am a little scared of buying an SI2 online becasue I really want an eye-clean stone**

Ive also attached ASET images and H&A pics for the middle and bottom stone-- it seems like the GOG stone has the best H&A pic by far. Do you all think so? How important do you think this is compared to the cheaper price of the middle stone. Also, can anyone comment on which ASET is better? They look the equivalent to me to me!

Ive also attached all the pictures that I have available of the stone. A couple of questions:

--I am concerned about the cloud inclusions that give this an SI1 clarity, but I can't see it in the magnified image. Dealer says its super-eye clean like a VS. Can anyone point them out? If not I think thats a good thing

--This diamond is pretty funky shape compared to a lot that ive seen so far. the table is wide and the depth is short. Overall I feel like its length and width dimensions are that of a 1.3c! but its a little short and squat, and the crown height is only 13.5... My question is-- is it bad for the optical properties to have a short and squat, but wide diamond like this?? The ideal scope looks OK to me. Also the ASET has that big green circle in the middle. Is that necessarily bad?

--With a short crown height and wide table, and medium thin girdle, will I run into any issues trying to prong set this stone in terms of chipping or appearance?

Any advice on this would be much appreciated! I want to make sure a short squat diamond is still ok!

33.5 not low enough to be a chip risk.

It is possible you might find it to have a different look than the usual Tolk style configuration, but I would think they are equally beautiful. Plus, it has good spread and is cheaper than your other options.

So this stone is an SI1 and the reference diagram on the GIA report is completely clean...meaning the clarity is based off of cloud inclusions that are not shown in the diagram. I searched this site and someone had said that is a worrying sign that the brilliance might be affected. Another forum, diamondreview.com, said that that is a load of bunk. What do you think??
