Been learning on here as I am a total noob at diamonds an hope to get engaged in the next few months. I have an idea of color and clarity and size, but not Proportions.

Can you guys give me you opinion of this diamond:

EGL USA CERTIFICATE
Round Brilliant
.75 carat
Measurement: 6.09 5.98 x 3.37

Depth: %55.80
Table: %70.00
Crown: %10.90
Pavilion: %42.20
Girdle: Thin to Sl Thick

Culet: Small

Polish: Good
Symmetry: Good

Clarity: VS1
Color: F
Fluorescent: None

The numbers on that diamond are very poor. It will most likely be a fish-eye and very unattractive.

If you would like some help searching for a diamond with better cut, just post your size, color and clarity preferences and a budget.

Yeah, from the little I have learned, those numbers didn''t seem like other ones I had seen on here. So that proportionality section affects how the light bounces and reflects/refracts, right?

So it just won''t shine/fire as nicely as others?

You are on the right track. A diamond with poor proportions reflects light away from the viewer's eyes instead of toward.

yap, with fish-eye, it will look as bad as an I clarity stone.
