eye clean?
any pics?

I''d want to see an ASET or IS on this combo. Depending on which way GIA rounded the numbers, it could either be a nice stone or it could have some light leakage.

I will post the aset when I get home
yes it is eye clean

okay here it is.....umph

Do you have other images? Are the images uploaded on the website? If it is on hold for you, can you give us the link? Easier for us.

that is the only image they offered me

do you need it bigger?

Try as I might I cannot understand these images like I should

I was told this by the vender who evaluated it himself

This is a high octane light performer, with excellent light performance,
brilliancy and dispersion.

The inclusion smack dab in the center would bother me, but that''s a personal thing. How could it be called eye-clean I wonder?

He said definitely eye clean.

My guidelines are eye clean except under close, close up scrutiny.

Isn''t that a black crystal inclusions?

I would like to see a bigger image of the ASET also an IS image if possible. Eye-clean with a central inclusion is possible if the stone is cut very well, so do not automatically judged a stone is not eye-clean based on inclusion placement.

From the 10X image, looks like no leakage, but I would like to see the IS image. What is the LGF and star number for the stone?

EDT:
I should add that it looks promising from the numbers and ASET image, but the ASET image is too small for me to make out if the is any leakage present in the table.

I'm no expert, but that black inclusion right in the middle of the stone would bother me too. But hey, if it really is completely eye clean and it makes you happy, then why not?

does this help?

LGF and Star numbers?

Looks good to me. :)

thanks Stone
Do I still need to ask for an IS image?

GIA states it is a very good cut
It scores a 2 on the cut advisor

I am so fixated on making sure the diamond faces up exactly what it''s weight is.

Would this one face up 1.23?

No, I am ok with it now.

Is the price what it is due to the SB fluore? are you all sure I am not missing anything?

no, painting is a kiss of death on that combo

Why is it a kiss of death in this case?

Lauralu, do you have the GIA report number?

Lauralu, do you have the GIA report number?

shallow crown lots of painting.
It has a large impact on scintillation and fire.
The upper girdles blend into each other.

Sorry, didn''t see these posts. Face-up should be around 6.93mm. You can check by using the pricescope your diamond function on top and using the in-house button. Check the spread, 0% is considered ideal.

I think the VG cut and the SB fluor works together to bring down the price.

SB fluoro does not bother me as long as it does not effect the stone in a negative way

facing up smaller than cw does though

thank you everyone

Update

Just wanted to let you all know!

This is now mine :)

I decided to listen to the person (vender) who actually had it in his hands, buy it , see for myself, have it appraised and make my decision.

OMGosh I am so glad I did!!!!

As we all know (and should remember) numbers only tell one story. Numbers can tell a story that does not exist even.

I have had it appraised and it is a ball of fire, no painting as was mentioned effecting this stone in any negative manner. Just pure fire and sparkle. It faces up slightly shy of 1.23. However, I can''t see the difference, so I don''t care!!! Whooooooooo Hooooooooooo

The inclusion cannot be picked up by the nekked eye by any stretch and does not effect it''s performance one ounce. The sparkle and brilliance is awesome!

I am in love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It''s being set into a temporary simple six prong setting until we have time after the wedding to have a custom piece made.

I have learned so much here. Thanks everyone. I am so glad this is over. it was becoming stressful... but, in the end.......We got what we were looking for and within budget. Persistence sure does pay!!!

:)

Any pics?

well yea!!!!!!!!!!!!

After it comes back home to me. FI will not let me pick it up when it''s done being set. He has had a big secretive plan for a long time for this moment and I am not going to take that away from him for nothing. So I will wait for my babe to surprise me...

After that you wil see it in SMTR :)

Will wait for it then. :)

Don't worry about that, sometimes concern over spread gets a bit overemphasized here at times, if the diamond is well cut then the spread will usually fall into place.

Congrats!
