Please advise on this round diamond

I''m considering the following diamond, but I''m concerned that the depth/girdle combo may not be good. I read somewhere that a table over 62% is not advisable on a round diamond. Here are the stats:

1.4 CT, Hearts and Arrows Round
F color, VS2
Triple Ideal, AGS
Table: 55%
Depth: 62.4%
Girdle: STK, Slightly Thick (upper girdle: 40 angle, lower girdle: 42 angle)
Crown: 34.5 angle
Pavillion: 40.8 angle

Hi Steffi123,
That''s a great size and quality diamond. The table is fine it will display a lot of fire. The only thing that i would improve on is the depth of the diamond; try to get less than 61.9% .hope I helped keep us posted.

For me, the concern would be if you are losing some spread because of the depth. What are the mm measurements?

Yes, this is what has me concerned.

Here are the mm stats:

7.14 width
7.19 length
4.47 depth

what do you think? I don''t want to pay for a 1.4ct but have the high depth % make it appear less than that.

Sounds about right for the weight. I did see some 1.41''s in the 7.2''s but that''s really splitting hairs (probably wouldn''t notice the size diff). Is it 1.40 carat or what is it exactly?

I''ve been hesitating for months, but this diamond looks like it is going to be the one. I have reserved it, but am still very nervous about the whole thing (it''s such an expensive purchase!) If there is anything I should ask the vendor about the diamond before going through with the purchase please let me know.

One thing I forgot to ask is about the hearts and arrow pattern. I read the tutorials, but I still don''t have a great eye for symmetry. Can you all confirm that this is a true H&A. Thanks again for all your help!
