pleas help with WF diamond stud mountings

Can someone advise difference between 3-prong martini, handmade martini and WF W-prong setting. I''m going to be mounting approx 1.5 ctw earrings in platinum. From what I can tell looking at photo, W prong setting looks like a regular four prong unless you see the side or back of it? Handmade mountings are thinner than their regular ones? What is benefit of this? Sorry if I seem dense but this is all new to me and the pictures aren''t helping that much.

I would call WF and ask them, since they make them.

I doubt any of us have had all 3 in our person, so we would be guessing at best.

Thank you Ellen. The first person I asked at WF didn''t seem to know much about the handmade ones....I''ll try again today to find out from them.
