Well, after about 8 or 9 months worth of searching PS for diamond shopping advice and falling in and out of love over and over again, my beloved took the plunge and sourced my transitional cut stone from the wonderful women at JbEG.

She's a beautiful 1.01 carat transitional with a K/VS2 pedigree. At my request
he is commissioning the following JbEG setting, a repro of a an early 1900s buttercup done in platinum with two stones bezeled on either side of the little lady:

Yep, I think she's a gonna be a purdy. The rub of course is that I won't be getting her for probably another six months. Yeah, it's okay though just knowing she's waiting for me is pretty flipping awesome. I've been officially out of the loop since he contacted JbEG on V-day, so the hardest part now is not seeing or knowing what she'll look like. However, that's also exciting because while I picked her out, I've never seen the final product so that makes it a surprise to me.
Thus far I'm thinking for a wedding band a millgrained bezel set eternity with single cuts. Dunno though. Cart before the horse. Need my e-ring first.
Anyway, just wanted to share in the excitement with fellow diamond lovahs.
