I just needed to share this.

It is not for sale so I hope I am permitted to post it:

50 gram platinum dragon with red spinel eyes holding a 2.5 carat Alexandrite. Day/night.

Perhaps too wild for some to wear, but a stunning sight. Mark the strong color change from ivy green to purplish red.

cool..I like stuff like that.

Ed,
Is it a pendant or brooch? Or just something ornamental? It’s pretty cool and I’d be more than happy to wear it.

Wow, that''s so cool!!

Neat!!

What great craftsmanship.

Oh my... mark me green with envy!

(I think I''d probably replace the "eyes" with another color stone, however... those pink eyes would freak me out!)

That is pretty cool.

Chrono,

It is a ring. What you see is the ''crown'' of the ring. I will post a side view later.
Thanks Ed. I''d love to see the profile of the ring.

Incredible color change. And cool ring. Thanks for posting.

Its a little wild for my taste in the wearing department but its very well executed. 50gms of platinum..that sounds heavy.

I don''t think I could carry this ring off (and it is not really my style), but Wow!

Wow! That''s incredible!

Does that dragon have a name? I think he (she?) deserves one.

Hi Ed:

1st off...That is quite a ring. Very bold and has that "Goth" look to it.

50 grams huh... My ring is 36 grams and heavy...I can''t imagine..Don''t try to swat any mesquitos off your head with this ring on..

Awesome Alexandrite...

How was the wax created from a cad file and done on machine or carved by hand?

Wow, it’s a good sized ring…but it might fit on my thumb.
