Hi!

So I always planned on having a fall wedding with dark red BM dresses. However, we wound up choosing Labor Day to get married so it''s technically still summer. The dark red was too fall/wintery for me so....my new idea is to have platinum color wedding dresses! I''m really getting excited by the idea. I''ll have really bright, vibrant flowers (bright pink, purple and white, I think) that will really POP against the silvery dresses. Just curious if anyone else had similar ideas or ever saw this done? Thanks!

I''ve seen photos I believe here and there and platinum is usually beautiful!!

I think it would look great personally.

i think it would be really pretty! i know you said platinum....are you thinking more of a light silver or a dark silver?

I''m thinking medium to dark. I don''t want it too light...I want to be the only one in white! :-) Plus, I think the flowers will stand out better against a bit darker color. What do you think?

i think that you might want to stick to a more medium shade....super dark silver sounds like it might be a tad bit harsh against pink in a summer wedding (but i LOVE the idea of grey/silver with pink).....but i guess it would depend on the time of day and the shades of pink and purple!

do you think that this shade is too white?

That''s pretty close to what I''m picturing. Here''s another inspiration dress...

Medium silver sounds beautiful with pink flowers!

I think it could be hit or miss. not all skin tones work well with silver/platinum. in the two photos listed in this thread, I think it makes the models look really pale and they kind of fade away. however, this is just my opinion. think you should ask your BMs what they think.
