Thanks to @lovedogs posting your lovely journey about stones with pink/brown undertones, it got me falling down the rabbit hole!

I am currently considering a K with light pink undertone. I love the pics and videos that the vendor sent, but am nervous about how it looks IRL.

@lovedogs and @NightOwlInCanada , since you have both viewed and bought the lovely pink undertone diamond, can you let me know how it looks IRL? I am wondering if it's noticeably pink, white, or a traditional L "warm white" color with a hint of pink depending on the angle. Rhino's videos mentioned such stones tends to face up whiter, but since I have never seen a K/L with a pink undertone I don't quite know what to expect. Any help or advice appreciated.

Hmmm tough question. What size stone are you looking for? Only asking bc I've been considering selling mine despite the fact that I love it (realized it's just not tinted quite enough for me).

Its clearly not white, but its not like a shocking pink (obviously), or a deep brown. It's a chameleon depending on the light.

Thanks @lovedogs. Does it actually look like a K or an entirely different look? I am looking at a 2.3 carat with light pink undertones, so it probably resembled the stone that you returned. I would prefer a look that is k but depending on light looks a little pinkish.

To be fair I've never seen a K in real life. My stone is an L, but looks more champagne/rose than yellow tinted to my eye, which I prefer.

Your stone sounds lovely @lovedogs, sorry it didn't quite work out for you. And a little off topic but I saw your post on the convertible pendant and I loved your piece and your interesting journey!

Good luck with finding your brownie stone.

I'd love to see it

@Alexiszoe, I think it really depends on how color sensitive you are.
I clearly see the pink tint in my diamond, especially from the sides and it is not brownish nor yellow. Pink. All the way. And then again, some people don't see the tint at all.

@lovedogs, if you feel your final pick isn't pink enough, do you have any regrets not keeping the one I ended up buying? It has a frank pink tint.

@NightOwlInCanada, thanks for letting me know. How does it perform in office /fluorescent Iighting and do you still love it? I do prefer a pink tint from the side, and I like a hint of it. but I am not sure I want it to look pink all the time. I spoke to the gemologist and he said it's going to be barely visible in real life.

They are sending me better pictures so I will see about uploading it over the weekend.

Yes, I absolutely love it still. I work from home and I do not have access to any bright lights like fluorescent, so I can't really say.
Please keep us posted on your purchase!
