Pink Tourmaline

I won this on an auction. Description said antique 14k pink tourmaline ring . It’s an odd color don’t you think? It was hard to tell from the pics they had posted

I don't think the color is that unusual for tourmaline... sometimes they show these deeper mauve-raspberry tones. I think what's making it appear a little different is the cut. I'm trying to figure out what it is! At first I thought it was a cab, but then I noticed some faceting, so maybe it's just a little abraded or perhaps it has a faceted crown and flat back? In any event, the band is lovely. Enjoy!

Not an usual colour for a Tourmaline IMHO, as this gemstone is famous for its colour variations, here is an image I found on the web:
