I would contrast it with pale green stones. The thing is that the color reminds me of pink flesh and while pretty, it may disappear with your skin as a backdrop, unless you have very dark skin. Pale green side stones, since you want to avoid a halo, would be nice. I suggest peridot or pale mint garnet. They should not be too saturated as to not compete with the spinel.
Can I just add there is hardly any sun today! No idea how to set it but would like to go cheap n cheerful (well not too cheap but not more than $1000 for a setting I think).
I have since had a revelation! I'm thinking 3 stone white gold! Spinel in the middle and two smallish white diamonds on the side!
I'm stressed about a brick and mortar scratching my stone though! Jeff Davies set both my zircons and peridot so I'm really wary about going off to a B&M.
Ooh just needed to add that I had a wonderful experience purchasing from Gary.
He was so lovely and helpful, especially with postage options as I am all the way in Australia. He was also super prompt in responding to my emails! Such a LOVELY, professional vendor!
Hehe I love the stone too! Looking at it in absolute abysmal lighting right now and it's still lively!
