Well I took a chance on my first try at pink spinel and I hope it turns out well. It seems to have a nice color and my sapphire in my new vintage ring was originally from Tan so I know he has nice stones. And he is in the list of recommended Ebay vendors. How does the cut look to you? I cannot tell if there is a window (still pic is blurry) and the video is too fast! His description is that it has moderately strong saturation. I hope it is nice for the $. You guys are a very bad influence! But this is pretty fun!

I hope it's something you'll love. I don't think it will have a true window but if tilt windows bother you, you might see one a bit more easily (or not). It is a bit difficult to tell.

I think you did well! It looks great to me, very pretty. :appl: :appl:

Thank you! I have no idea if tilt windows bother me. We shall see. I am glad to know that you guys think it is a nice stone. I am hoping it will be ok to put in a Unique stock bezel setting that is open underneath to use as a stacking ring. It seems to have a purple cast to it which is ok with me.

Well it finally came and I think that I am not all that thrilled with it. It is cute but disappears on my skin and is too light. I am sure I have caviar taste and fish bait budget so I should probably return this and save my $ for a spectacular spinel. I hope the return process is not too much of a pain.

Please pardon my horrible need for a manicure.

Sorry you had to wait SO long for a stone you aren't thrilled about. For what it is worth, I think it's pretty.

In the right setting, it may look nice. It does kind of blend in with your skin tone, but again, if you put it in some metal, like a yellow gold head, and white gold shank, it might stand out more. Just a thought. If you really don't like it at all, then return it.

If it doesn't thrill you, you're right to return it. It is an easy process with Tan. It isn't the most saturated stone in the world & in photos, at least, the tilt window is very visible, which isn't a fault, just a trait that may or may not bother the wearer.

Look forward to seeing what you find instead.
