I've got the prettiest pair of oval shaped pink spinels, around 6.2 X 5mm or around 1.61 carats coming from Jeff White. I was originally thinking just a plain stud setting as I was kind of trying to copy a pair of pink CZ earrings that I had in high school. But now I am thinking maybe they need a halo or something special.

Give me some ideas if y'all will! Would you do simple plain studs, halo them or something else?

I echo the above posters -- it may be smart to do oval studs and then if you're finding you'd like a fancy/sparkly option as well, go for the jackets -- looking forward to seeing your pink spinel pair, they sound divine!

Thank you they are on the way but they look great from the video!

Jmo of course but I don’t care for oval studs, or other elongated shapes, such as emerald cut. Idk they just look wonky to me. I prefer round, square or triangle-shaped.

Therefore, personally, I’d probably have them be the top part with danglies attached, drop shaped pearls or whatever, maybe with the spinels positioned horizontally. Or have them incorporated into climber earrings.

But I’m probably just being weird.

I prefer non symmetrical (non round, non rectangular) CS to be dangles because they will twist on the ears and it drives me crazy when the orientation of the right earring doesn't match the left.

I agree. Here are some of my not-round cs dangle earrings. Topaz briolettes, sapphire pears, sapphire cushions, pink sapphire ovals and ruby pears.BFEB38E0-384C-4E9B-8B74-2EA2E1786095.jpeg
