As the title suggests, I’m seeing some amazing pictures of garnets. I want to buy one and set it as a pedant. Is it going to go dark and purple? I can’t seem to get a straight answer from anyone!

This is an example of what I’m seeing online. The glow measures up to Chansey or my spess. Will it be like in real life do you think? I’ve seen customer pics of garnets and with the exception of spess and tsav they look really underwhelming in real life.

The only way you are going to find out is to buy one.

Top Mahenge, Tanga, Malaia, Malaya, whatever people want to call them when high end pink will hold their color in most lights, though they will shift a little to moderately purplish under, LED. The light that will destroy their beauty the most will be CFL lighting, which is compact fluorescent light. This light will desaturate them and make them look more grayish. CFL kills many purple and purplish pink stones. Fortunately, CFL lighting is on its way out and LED is the most predominant light. Many commercial lights will make these Garnets look very good too.

Now, you just have to take the dive. Pick a vendor you know will have a good return policy with PayPal and roll the dice. :)
