Pink Diamond, Need Setting Advice/Recommendations for RHR

Hey PSer's,

I need some help finding setting ideas for my wife's new 0.34 carat Fancy Intense Pink Oval Diamond (measures 4.6 X 3.6 mm). For a RHR, she wants something with good finger coverage and not something typical. Maybe something with mixed cuts, floral pattern, send me what you think would compliment the diamond below. Preferably, something with white diamonds. Thanks.

Tiffany does my favorite colored diamonds. The triple halo with the one line of color is to die for. In a yellow or something? I'd swoon. But that would have to be done by a master bench.

I am thinking small ovals and marquise around like a halo alternating, white possibly rose gold

The second picture Niel posted is one of my all time favourite rings. I tried it on in Honolulu with a 2ct fancy intense yellow diamond in the centre and it was fabulous.

I also liked the first photo you shared, with the hearts and cushions. Another alternative is something like these earrings:



You could do alternating ovals and pears perhaps?

I wonder if there is any way to make it into an animal... now i know that sounds a little crazy, but if done well, it can be something stunning with a lot of finger presence. Like a Chaumet, but instead of a bee, something with an oval instead of a pear.

What ever you decide to do, I highly recommend getting a pink gold basket, prongs, or whatever style of metal to surround the stone in pink/rose gold. It will help to enhance the pink color. I would look to sites like Leibish, artofplatinum.com and Icestore.com for some inspiration. They have some lovely jewelry designs with colored diamonds. Others may be able to think of some more places.
