Pink diamond? Here it is girls!

Considering radiants were only invented in 1977 (hey, they're exactly as old as I am  ) I'm not sure what the seller is referring to about calling it Art Deco. The setting looks like it may be as old as '40s, but could be new too. I suppose it might be as old as they're thinking, but if so it is really an anomaly as far as design goes... that under-basket design is a lot more modern looking to me. And the sidestones are a modern round brilliant cut, not anything you'd see from the '20s.

Take a look to my avatar. My ring is 100 years old!

I always see they're stuff for sale and think they must be shady or very ignorant, because they will claim a modern RB or irradiated diamond in a mid century type setting is a "hand carved" period 1910 piece....

Stci, I always thought yours was a '40s setting that someone put a gorgeous OEC in? It's lovely whatever era it's from :wink2: It would be a very unusual style for the Deco period, but there are the occasional pieces that are ahead of their time of course.

The auction one is not however, lol. Radiants simply weren't cut back then. They weren't invented til 1977.

Honestly? Looks more brown than pink to me.... perhaps "Champagne" would be a more accurate description.

GIA said Brown-Pink... You're right HotPozzum!

Your ring looks much more authentic and beautiful then the ebay ring IMHO.
