I also have some pics of used tiffany's off e-bay - all originals but there are some changes in design over time. In looking to compare between originals and the others I would have liked to see examples of 'the real thing' - I hope this is useful

Thanks for posting these pics. People always post how much they love the original Tiffany setting and are willing to pay the money for it but now that I've seen it, I think it's lame, ugly and blah. I'm sure some people think my taste isn't great either.

I initially had been looking at getting a Tiffany-type solitaire, but recently I've been sold on the Stuller Solstice take on the classic solitaire design...sort of a reinterpretation of the classic design.

Methinks they're all stunning.

Classy, subtle, understated. Thanks for posting these pics Blakeo.

Btw, the setting that best replicates the Tiffany is the one done by Superbcert, IMO.

In the last 5 pics you can see the patena effect that is often talked about over the first few pics of a new ring

And I thought I was the only one.

I personally don't see what the big deal is. I find those settings quite pedestrian, and I'm actually not fond of the ornate, almost baroque designs I sometimes see people posting here either. I do like subtle, minimalist style, but these do nothing for me. They're just functional and plain.

Thanks Blakeo for posting those pics. You did some work finding all those. haha Did you order your ring yet? I have to admit, the tiffany ring doesnt do a thing for me either. But to some, it **is** the classic design. I guess if its still sought after today, its passed some sort of staying power test. haha
