I like them both ways -- with and without the wedding ring. Do you feel you need to solder them together because they won''t stay aligned correctly? If they stay together, I would not solder them just so you have options on how to wear them.

I agree-leaving then loose gives you more options. Unless it's a comfort thing and you never wear them separate, I'd leave them loose.
